In ancient Rome the first kiss was more transactional. In an age of widespread illiteracy, kisses served to seal agreements; thus the expression “to seal with a kiss”
I wanted to share my top 10 wedding kisses.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a top-10 wedding photography post. I love wedding flowers, they really bring the much needed pizazz wedding decorations need. Wedding flowers can be in anything from a bouquet, boutonniere and hair to the more unique, table decoration, large alter decoration and cake!
Get creative, you don’t have to have the standard bouquet, change up the shape or what’s inside. Add something edible! Now’s the time to really think about some crazy unique things you can have in your bouquet.

What’s more adorable than a little girl in a puffy dress throwing flowers into the air like she just doesn’t care?
Not much.
I have photographed some really adorable flower girls in past weddings. Some cried happy tears that their uncle was able to marry the man he loved, others were super sassy. Some were sisters or even twins, others were just friends. Check out my top 10 flower girls wedding photography.
Ring Bearers can be adorable, funny, stubborn and defiantly unique. I have seen ring bearers throw the ring pillow (as seen below), shy away from their duties and require parents to assist them down the isle, and suave ring bearers who will be total ladies men when they grow up. I love how different every ring bearer is at every wedding I photograph. Below are my top 10 favorite ring bearers from the past few weddings.
As a kid, I was always obsessed with rainbows, I even had a “rainbow blankey” that I couldn’t sleep without. Actually, I still love them, and get a little squirmy when I see the colors out of order or hear someone having to google the order of the rainbow. What does that have to do with Pride month, very little except for all of the rainbow flags that’ll be flying high.
Andy and I love taking Tristan out to the pride parade every year. Everything is so colorful and the people are always super nice. In fact, one of my couples actually met at the Houston Pride Parade. Boy is it always HOT, though. If you’re going, make sure to bring water and a hat. Houston Pride Parade is June 23rd from 12pm – 7pm.
Probably the coolest thing about Pride month is how unabashedly real people are. I find the LQBTQ community is the most true-to themselves community in the first place, but more so during the month of June.
